As you may have heard, earlier today I was officially named as the new CEO of Cygilant [link to press release]. I’m thrilled to be able to finally share this news with you all, and very eager to see what the future holds for the company.
Despite only being a recent addition, I can already see that there’s something special going on here. Something it feels great to be a part of.
It’s easy to see that mid-sized businesses – across all types of industries – are in a bind. They know they’re expected to provide world-class security for their organizations, protecting everything from customer data to their own core company information and applications. The problem is, as a mid-sized business, IT teams typically are crunched for resources – time, people and money. It becomes a situation of constantly having to make do with what they have available and crossing their fingers that it’s enough.
That’s where Cygilant comes in. I’ve already seen how our Cybersecurity-as-a-Service offering resonates with these companies and their over-taxed IT teams (or IT manager). By providing each customer with their own cybersecurity advisor and access to our SOC, we’re becoming extensions of their team that can help them identify threats, respond to incidents, patch systems and prove compliance with an ever-increasing amount of regulations.
The ability for us to quickly improve the security of these businesses – and the lives of those managing their IT/security – is what gets me so excited about the future.
A large part of my role here as CEO will be to continually listen to you all – our customers, employees and partners – and to learn how we can get better. What other services can we offer to help you through the day? Where are we doing great – and where do we need to improve?
I’m looking forward to getting to know you all better in the coming weeks and to having that dialogue.
It’s an exciting time to be a part of Cygilant – and I look forward to taking the journey with you.
